Quick update for future sponsor speakers for our conferences.
Our process is that when sales team secures a sponsor that will have a speaker placement, you email the editor working on the sessions for that conference.
For Finance, it would be Sara. (Sara/Linda for Multifamily Conf, Michelle for Medical Conf, Trevor/Jack for Golf Conf)
You tell the editor you have speaker placement for [this sponsor]. And what best panel would they fit on?
The editor will then follow up with you on the suggested panel based on available slots, the session, etc.
You would then follow up with the sponsor telling them the panel and get the name of the speaker they want to place. Then you let the editor know it’s confirmed and the speaker name and contact info.
Conference team will get them registered, etc.
The sponsor should not be following up with conference team (or the editorial team) on what panel they are on. This should have already been worked out with the editor and the person selling the sponsor slot.
