  2. Transfer the sales to the Salesperson's commission tracking sheet.

  3. Send the updated commission sheet to the Sales Manager and the Salesperson.

    1. This must be sent by the 5th of the month.

  4. The Sales Manager will approve or make changes to the commission sheet.

    1. This must be approved and back to accounting by the 10th of the month.

  5. Accounting will put the approved commission amount into QBO for processing.

Main Section 2

  1. Find the Salespersons self tracking sheet.

  2. Open Maghub- find Reports- find Distribution/Subscription

  3. Choose subscription invoice and payment report -click advanced search

  4. Example: Under publications -Retail Tenet Newsletter -Invoice Date: 6/1/2023-6/30/2023 and export the report

  5. Open the report-Choose the columns you want and delete the rest. (see actual 2023 commission report for Salesperson)

  6. Add one column called percentage and one called paid commission.

  7. Start with the salesperson’s self tracking list first and compare it with the exported report list from Maghub to check if there is a match

  8. For example,.in Zac’s list “ Patrica Mckelvey '' matches with  the exported list with the same name.

  • Search Patrica Mckelvey in Maghub, click his name and look for subscriptions.

Click activities to verify if this is Zac’s activities.

Look at the “BY” category (the Green color). If it is Zac’s name, it was paid, it will count as his sales. If this shows as a membership teams, it needs to be verified by Zac, such as email/ or phone call history.

Once confirmed, then

  •  Click subscription. The details tell you this client’s subscription history which is the key to determine Zac’s commission percentage.

In this case, the first subscription has expired back in 2022-7-17, so Zac will get 40% commission ,and enter this % in the excel column.

  1. Created the new category called sub-source type in the commission report.

If this is Zac’s sales, and confirmed in the MH as the previous step above, then put Zac’s name. If not, don’t put his name even if he put his name on his own commission paid sheet.

10    After finishing matching ,also check with the rest of the exported list to see if Zac missed his sales. If he missed, add the sales and related commission in his report.

  11. Check the subscription type and put it in Zac’s commission report as well.

  12. Once finished, search another newsletter ( In this case , the Crittenden report newsletter) to go over the same steps again.

13. Combine two reports into one in excel spreadsheet. ( See Apri report as the template) .If possible, ask Jack to share the revenue projection sheet to put relevant projected sales in this report. (Budget)

14. Please compile this each month and provide it to the Sales Manager and Salesperson by the 5th of the month.

15. The sales manager and salesperson will review and send back to Accounting with changes or approval. If changes are needed, make the appropriate changes and resubmit to the Sales Manager and Salesperson for approval. This must be returned by the 10th of the month.

16. Commission amounts plus bonuses must be in QBO by the next AP report before the 16th of the month.
