Overview - How to create or edit a Dynamic Attribute in MagHub. Dynamic Attributes are the dropdown lists that we can add specific unique information to a contact or company profile so that we can pull specific lists out of MagHub. Also how to import new or existing dynamic attributes to multiple contacts in Maghub.

Current Dynamic Attributes Definitions:

Most Commonly used Contact Dynamic Attributes =

  • Contact Roles= To specify if a contact is a hired ambassador, needs replaced as they are only temporary, or if a Crittenden Partners employee is helping distribute to a school

  • Active Distribution - Yes, No, or Temporarily Inactive

  • Shipment - NJ or PL

  • Shipment Qty - Number of Boxes

  • Stand Needed - Yes or No

    • (These are all for National Jurist and PreLaw Distribution Point Of Contact (POC) contact profiles.) 

  • Golf Inc Audit - To track which subscribers have opted in or out or hasn't responded yet

  • Contact Qualification Status - to track which contacts need which qualifying efforts done or if they have verified info is still correct. 


Other Contact Dynamic Attributes=

  • Targeted Marketing Audience attributes (to pull mailing lists for certain subscribers, etc) = REF, Retail, Multifamily, Medical

  • Paid Subscription dates for each Newsletter/Directory - one for when became active and one for when expired

  • Past Subscriber? - Yes or No

  • Conference Past Attendee, Past Paid, Past Speaker for each conf

  • Birthday - for clients birth month

  • Filemaker ID - ID from when they were moved from Filemaker profile

  • NAICS code 1 and NAICS code 2 - what industry a company is in- Filemaker contacts should have this code 

  • Notes - Second Source Field

  • Source - Where the contact info came from


Company Dynamic Attributes

  • Contact Summary - text box

  • Current Number of Racks - Current number of physical racks at school location.

  • Ideal Number of Racks - goal for how many racks to have in school

  • Readership Goal - text box

  • Current Readership- Number of Boxes currently receiving

  • Date Rack Qualified- Date the Current Number of Racks Attribute was updated

  • Institution - Law School or Undergrad

  • Applications - Number of applicants

  • Budget range - Estimated marketing budget

  • Filemaker School ID

  • HBC - Historically Black College

  • Hot List - Likely prospects for a future issue

  • Marketing goals - text box

  • Marketing Mediums - Type of marketing mediums used

  • Matriculants - Number of matriculants

  • Planning month - Month when they plan budget

  • Region - text box

  • Source - Where the company/contact information came from

  • Target Audience - text box

  • Top Feeder (2017) - yes = On list of 240 top feeders in 2017

  • Top Feeder Rank (2017) - LSAT ranking if school was on top feeder list (top feeder list not available publicly)

How to Create or Edit 

  1. In Maghub, go to Settings > System Design & Info > Dynamic Attributes

  2. Determine if the attribute is for a contact profile or a company profile. Navigate to the correct tab. 

  3. Edit an existing attribute by clicking on the pen icon on the right or click “Add Dynamic Attribute” to edit an existing one or to add a new one.
